Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Rojelio in the 51st minute of the match. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute of play forced Cervantes F.C.'s goalkeeper Fausto Kemen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cervantes F.C.'s Celestino Nesto got a free kick in the 56th minute. Cervantes F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
