Anxo Cerreri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of the match. Anxo Cerreri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macabeo Bermudez in the 20th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anxo Cerreri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Miliano Riba made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Miliano Riba sent off a good shot on target. Barrio Sesamo's Anxo Cerreri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Maurino Marcos came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leopoldo Otero was slow to take the kick. During this time Barrio Sesamo's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Leopoldo Otero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Maurino Marcos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 75 minutes into the match, Barrio Sesamo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Anxo Cerreri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anxo Cerreri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miliano Riba in the 93rd minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chants of Barrio Sesamo echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
