An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Tiki Taka FC's goalkeeper Oséias de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tiki Taka FC's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tiki Taka FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Sampaio. Oséias de Andrade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Manuel Sampaio could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ragnar Johansson got free with Julio Vera in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Magdaleno Encina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiki Taka FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Tiki Taka FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes in the game Ma Xing Yang after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Julio Vera. A very good opportunity. Manuel Sampaio struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiki Taka FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Sampaio made a kick off. Oséias de Andrade made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes Tiki Taka FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Sampaio. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tiki Taka FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Oséias de Andrade despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Oséias de Andrade when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
