Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snedspark IF the free kick. In the 6th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ed De Goeij took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeno Sama could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Ed De Goeij made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Bokelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play forced Snedspark IF's goalkeeper Ed De Goeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes Zeno Sama could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. Ed De Goeij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 36th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeno Sama in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Snedspark IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Skoog didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ed De Goeij acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tomas Illescas.
