Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Emilia Fc. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amado Favila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 5 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Favila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 8th minute. Honduras's Moises Tafalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amado Favila in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Honduras's Sebastian Villa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Julian Dubardo in the 13 minute of the game. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Julian Dubardo in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Edmundo Espiga kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Vinicio Esquipula sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro skillfully saved the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Emilia Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. With 34 minutes on the clock, Freddy Gilen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of La Emilia Fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Honduras:s goal. La Emilia Fc:s Amado Favila showed great skill when he stopped Edmundo Espiga:s penalty. 35 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Emilia Fc's Amado Favila. Amado Favila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Herrera in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 39th minute of play forced La Emilia Fc's goalkeeper Amado Favila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Dubardo made in the 45th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gervasio Ixidor however managed to control. In the 48th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Herrera to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Gogo Herrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gogo Herrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With his leg Amado Favila managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julian Dubardo made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Emilia Fc's goalie prevented a goal. 74 minutes into the match, Humberto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Cordario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Humberto Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of La Emilia Fc booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gervasio Ixidor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of La Emilia Fc booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 85 played minutes La Emilia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Cordario. In the 85th minute, Vinicio Esquipula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Amado Favila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute. Julian Dubardo made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Humberto Cordario however managed to control. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
