Gogo Herrera scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gervasio Ixidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Favila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Favila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the La Emilia Fc defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amado Favila. The La Emilia Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amado Favila should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of La Emilia Fc booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Ixidor in the 43rd minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gogo Herrera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 85th minute, La Emilia Fc's Gervasio Ixidor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Julian Dubardo's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Dubardo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Emilia Fc's Julian Dubardo got a free kick in the 88th minute. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Emilia Fc's goalie prevented a goal. Amado Favila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Ixidor in the 95th minute of play. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Emilia Fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
