Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute, Bernardo Caballero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bajen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Caballero in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nick Pope came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Agustín Saelices. But to his dismay, Agustín Saelices quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Porto in the 18th minute of play. Nick Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernardo Caballero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 27 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Nick Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Svante Forsberg.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidney Porto to strike the kick off in the second half. Sidney Porto might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Porto ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nick Pope could save by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Porto in the 58th minute of play. Nick Pope made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Bajen's goalkeeper Nick Pope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Caballero in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Sidney Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Sidney Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Bajen's goalkeeper Nick Pope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. 75 minutes into the match, Bernardo Caballero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Caballero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2. Sidney Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Bajen's Rolf Henriksson was substituted for Sidney Porto. Rolf Henriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nick Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Bernardo Caballero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bajen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
