In the 13th minute, Fredrik Terwenhout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sean Van Dijck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Limburg United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sean Van Dijck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kieth De Hond kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sean Van Dijck. Limburg United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 25th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montenegro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Van Dijck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Fredrik Terwenhout in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 38 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Terwenhout in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute Limburg United were awarded a corner. Fredrik Terwenhout went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 42nd minute, Fredrik Terwenhout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonio Arias lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! The goalkeeper, Julio Vera, was totally fooled by Limburg United's Fredrik Terwenhout, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Sancho to make the kick off. Limburg United's Sean Van Dijck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Fredrik Terwenhout sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Luis Andino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sean Van Dijck came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Andino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 88th minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Brend Vanden Driessche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
