Herberto Caiado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 24 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Francisco Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herberto Caiado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herberto Caiado in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Herberto Caiado from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herberto Caiado in the 41st minute. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Patrício Vasconcelos, made in the 43rd minute of the game. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Caiado in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Herberto Caiado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herberto Caiado to strike the kick off in the second half. Lima Team's Francisco Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 55th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Caiado in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Salvador Gisbert made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Lima Team's Francisco Infante managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 67th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Infante. Lima Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 70th minute Jacob Barroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes, Raimundo Cerqueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lima Team and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francisco Infante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Patrício Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 94th minute. Although Lima Team had been in control for most of the match, Venezuela still came away with the win.
