The audience was convinced that Tora Suarlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A nice corner shot did that Karl Kornilov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Immanuel Mandias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tora Suarlan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Tora Suarlan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Sukri Saepuloh hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Karl Kornilov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Karl Kornilov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Tora Suarlan came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Greencard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tora Suarlan couldn't finish the play. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nanang Wardhana. Nanang Wardhana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nanang Wardhana was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Tora Suarlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tora Suarlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tora Suarlan in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Greencard fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
