Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gimnasia y tiro's Dong Jian Yang started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes, Peru's Milagros Fraga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peru reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dong Jian Yang in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. After having played for 23 minutes, Esben Nordborg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esben Nordborg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dong Jian Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 30th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wieslaw Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Ubelteso made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Julian Murillo scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 43rd minute of play. Eliseo Mina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Endre Szentes made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 63 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Luciano Mouricio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Gimnasia y tiro getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Endre Szentes hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Wieslaw Panasewicz made a huge save. Wieslaw Panasewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 73rd minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia y tiro's Reynaldo Montrelle. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Montrelle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. After 90 minutes of play, Peru's Rafael Gallo made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wieslaw Panasewicz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo. 97 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
