Jānis Lielais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reinholds Jaunzems was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Annenieki's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Reinholds Jaunzems got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jānis Lielais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jānis Lielais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 minutes of play, SK Annenieki's Reinholds Jaunzems made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jānis Lielais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artūrs Sagalats in the 41st minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indris Tomass in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludis Vaicātājs kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 67th minute of the match SK Annenieki got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reinholds Jaunzems ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. The supporters of SK Annenieki booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artūrs Sagalats took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jāzeps Pics in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jānis Lielais. The goal made the score 2-2. Mareks Belis kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 94thth minute of the game Jāzeps Pics who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 96th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
