After a rather tough play, 9 de Diciembre's Angel Osasun got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Amadeo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Amadeo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tomasz Huchro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomasz Huchro's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Amadeo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Carrizo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo Carrizo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Huchro in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Amadeo Carrizo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, 9 de Diciembre's Rogelio Ruisko got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 93 played minutes, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeo Carrizo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. After 96 minutes of play, 9 de Diciembre's Tomasz Huchro made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 9 de Diciembre.
