The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filipe Silva struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United. The supporters of Colombia booed when  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Black didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Bento Aleixo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. Alexander Manninger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Manninger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 17th minute of play forced  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's goalkeeper Alexander Manninger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Santino Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Stuart Legzdins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Manninger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head.  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's Alexander Manninger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 34th minute of play. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute of the match, Filipe Silva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Manzanares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th match minute,  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Legzdins to maneuver through the defense. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Manninger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Filipe Silva sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Silva got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 56th minute, Lütfi Selahaddin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Aleixo in the 58th minute of play. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. Colombia's Pascual Carballar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alexander Manninger in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alexander Manninger made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Silva in the 67th minute of play.  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's Tomás Shelby was substituted for Kaká Senna. Alexander Manninger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Silva in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match,  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Alexander Manninger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Manninger made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Manninger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Santino Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Manninger.  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santino Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Brooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Danny Farmer who took care of the corner kick. 85 minutes into the match,  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's Danny Farmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Tafalla charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Tafalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Danny Farmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Filipe Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The supporters of Colombia booed when  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Shelby didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Manninger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Mastache's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colombia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
