In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind DESTROY's goalkeeper Silverio Gonsalve, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, DESTROY's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Silverio Gonsalve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Silverio Gonsalve quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhuang Hai Xu in the 20th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Silverio Gonsalve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Silverio Gonsalve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of DESTROY's Silverio Gonsalve. Silverio Gonsalve was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

DESTROY made a substitution. 武 Messi replaced Faustino Jakes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silverio Gonsalve. DESTROY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 60 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silverio Gonsalve, 0-4. In the 82nd minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Maradona in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, DESTROY's Zhuang Hai Xu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Silverio Gonsalve when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Silverio Gonsalve in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Gonsalve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Maradona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DESTROY throughout the match.
