Dani Alves's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dani Alves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mexico booed when Algarrobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dani Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Felix Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Luque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Ado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Facundo Cadaval couldn't finish the play. After 70 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. After a rather tough play, Algarrobo's Juan Ignacio Vera got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Algarrobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Tomás Talamilla to maneuver through the defense. Everardo Ado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 77th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Carrera in the 82nd minute of the match. Loreto Antoine kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a little luck, Algarrobo's Everardo Ado got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Carrera in the 91st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Armando Lamb in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Algarrobo's Jimeno Carrera. But to his dismay, Jimeno Carrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Algarrobo had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
