Wolfgang Zufferey kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Cacey 武磊 kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Rafa Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Fonso to strike the kick off in the second half. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rene Higuita made a huge save. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Fonso in the 63rd minute of play. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Ibiza's Loco Mønster was substituted for Ştefan Vornicescu. Jenson Smith made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Ibiza's Rafa Marques. In the 80th minute, Sam Campbell made a precise shot to the right of Rene Higuita. Club Ibiza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. USA made a substitution. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazuo Koriotto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of USA's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. USA may have spent more time on the ball, but Club Ibiza were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
