An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Ibiza's Rene Higuita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Ibiza's Rene Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Rene Higuita. Club Ibiza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Fonso got free with Rolando Noboa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafa Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Club Ibiza booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Bruno Fonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Bruno Fonso made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Bruno Fonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Club Ibiza got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Fonso. Rafa Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Ibiza's Rene Higuita got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute of the game Alonso Berganza made a throw-in which Moises Gayoso played forward. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazuo Koriotto, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomás Orlanda in the 80 minute of the game. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Club Ibiza's attentive Tomás Orlanda managed to snatch the ball when Alonso Berganza made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. In the 87th minute, Beliran Poblaciones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 91st minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rene Higuita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 96th minute of the match Milagros Fraga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Higuita skillfully saved the ball. Club Ibiza were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Peru for a fine match.
