Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Manchester United FC's Manfred Rudqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ľubomír Timčo came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Manchester United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ľubomír Timčo couldn't finish the play. Ľubomír Timčo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Rudqvist got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Panama's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donato Galvão fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 15 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Simão de Toledo. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 21 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bruno Martini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Bruno Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Miralles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Ľubomír Timčo scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 1-0. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simão de Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time Manchester United FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Manchester United FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Freek Tamminga hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Manfred Rudqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 52nd minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Bruno Martini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Martini having to interfere. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ľubomír Timčo in the 60th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Joachim De Jonghe advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-1 in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 71st minute, Glauco Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joachim De Jonghe's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joachim De Jonghe helped the player get up and apologised. Joachim De Jonghe hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 87 minutes on the clock, Dariusz Zajac commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Panama a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abraham Alguacil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini. 2-2. In the 92nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Rudqvist came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
