Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Xzaiver Lorenzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato from getting a goal against them. In the 94th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Xzaiver Lorenzo in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
