Endre Austnes started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endre Austnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Hayden Burley scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Edmund Keyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewe's Carel Van Hermenghem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Endre Austnes scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. After 28 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. The supporters of Stewe booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Endre Austnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Endre Austnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Carel Van Hermenghem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Wayne Mays mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stewe and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wayne Mays hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Stewe's Fredrik Ljungberg was substituted for Wayne Mays. In the 54th minute, Wayne Mays hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Endre Austnes in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Hayden Burley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fredrik Ljungberg kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute Hayden Burley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamar Delong in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Edmund Keyes made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Stewe booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Endre Austnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute Hayden Burley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stewe's Edmund Keyes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, Stewe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Ljungberg to maneuver through the defense. Hayden Burley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Martial Vrijdag recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endre Austnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Stewe had played much better football throughout.
