Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvio Gartzi slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Elvio Gartzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Rami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Elvio Gartzi sent off a good shot on target. Dionisio Rainerio struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STRAY CATS FC. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 宋德勇 was the one to do the kick off. After 73 minutes, Elvio Gartzi made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Chesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Abelardo Rami threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by STRAY CATS FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after STRAY CATS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner.
