RACINGUS:s Håkan Wiklund showed great skill when he stopped Tomas Illescas:s penalty. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Chago in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to RACINGUS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Hernan Hanni hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Raymond in the 13th minute of the match. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. RACINGUS's Håkan Wiklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. Håkan Wiklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Håkan Wiklund. Håkan Wiklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when RACINGUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jammy Van Essche didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, RACINGUS's Silvio Dolcet got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th match minute, RACINGUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Emesto to maneuver through the defense. The RACINGUS fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when RACINGUS's Leonides Chago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Leonides Chago sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 58th minute, Anier Paio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Chago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Wiklund having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Leonides Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Håkan Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Leonides Chago sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 77th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Leonides Chago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After 82 played minutes RACINGUS got a freekick which was hit by Anier Paio. Amador Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Leonides Chago sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Wiklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Venezuela booed when RACINGUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Dolcet didn't get a good kick on the ball.
