It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 16th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Rune Simonsson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gil Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Jonsereds IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Nilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Hernström during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute Hans Kilstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Jonsereds IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
