The crowd rose to their feet as Mehat Kovaçi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cougars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Păuceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mehat Kovaçi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 72nd minute of play. Cougars FC made a substitution. Steffen Gimlinge replaced Mehat Kovaçi.
