Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giannis Konstantinou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giannis Konstantinou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giannis Konstantinou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 39th minute of play forced FK KLIS's goalkeeper Giannis Konstantinou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jahija Selimotić charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jahija Selimotić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes FK KLIS got a freekick which was hit by Jahija Selimotić. But to his dismay, Orlando Casaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murat Zelenika stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giannis Konstantinou saved FK KLIS from getting behind. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murat Zelenika, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Börge Tidéksson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FK KLIS's Giannis Konstantinou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FK KLIS from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börge Tidéksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
