After 3 played minutes C.R.FlaBrasília got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Seco. After 4 played minutes OLYMPIACOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Jacob. Santos Lazcano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Jailson Mendes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Jailson Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when OLYMPIACOS FC's Santos Lazcano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jailson Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santos Lazcano's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. C.R.FlaBrasília's Jailson Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save C.R.FlaBrasília from getting a goal against them. Ovidio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Abel Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ovidio Oto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.R.FlaBrasília's protests and gave Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, C.R.FlaBrasília's Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho got a free kick in the 24th minute. C.R.FlaBrasília's Jailson Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save C.R.FlaBrasília from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Lazcano came free, but Jailson Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. OLYMPIACOS FC's Santos Lazcano got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute Santos Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.R.FlaBrasília's Jailson Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Normando in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Lazcano in the 45th minute of play forced C.R.FlaBrasília's goalkeeper Jailson Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernabe Normando got free with Jailson Mendes in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho scored 0-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidio Oto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santos Lazcano was the one to do the kick off. Santos Lazcano took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson Mendes. Jailson Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Ovidio Oto made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Abel Torres sent off a good shot on target. OLYMPIACOS FC's Ovidio Oto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save OLYMPIACOS FC from getting a goal against them. Jailson Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Normando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to C.R.FlaBrasília getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Abel Torres hit a great ball. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when C.R.FlaBrasília was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Santos Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OLYMPIACOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Lazcano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ovidio Oto. That made the score 1-3 in the 88 minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Brais came free, but Jailson Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Lazcano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jailson Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Lazcano took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson Mendes. Jailson Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The OLYMPIACOS FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing C.R.FlaBrasília to win.
