An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Gana in the 3rd minute of play forced C.R.FlaBrasília's goalkeeper Abel Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goalkeeper Abel Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Rufo. Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Cerda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Montenegro in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goalkeeper Abel Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Gana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Gana in the 14th minute of play forced C.R.FlaBrasília's goalkeeper Abel Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th match minute, C.R.FlaBrasília was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Seco to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes C.R.FlaBrasília got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Lara. In the 18th minute, Hudson Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Raimundo Backhouse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 27th minute, Raimundo Backhouse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Abel Torres successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 32 minutes, Hudson Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.R.FlaBrasília's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hudson Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Abel Gana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Gana in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute Abel Gana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Gana in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The audience was convinced that Abel Gana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Torres was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Abel Gana put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abel Torres. 71 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Backhouse came free, but Abel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Gana in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Torres saved C.R.FlaBrasília from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Backhouse came free, but Abel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Côme Gato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Rufo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rufo came free, but Abel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Teodosio Pimentel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres didn't even have to move. 95 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Gana came free, but Abel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Deportes Santa Cruz fully deserved thier win.
