Felix Harriet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Cerda having to interfere. Raimundo Backhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Fernandez having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Incendio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Milan getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bernabe Eskuin hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Côme Gato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Cerda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Harriet in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Backhouse got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 34th match minute, Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Harriet to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Gana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Abel Gana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jon-Ander Huaiquipan hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Eskuin to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Gana in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Fernandez saved Milan from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filiberto Lluis was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Backhouse in the 57th minute of play forced Milan's goalkeeper Gilberto Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernabe Eskuin's late challenge caught a Club Deportes Santa Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Eskuin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Milan getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bernabe Eskuin hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Milan got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Eskuin. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Raimundo Backhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Backhouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Gana's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Raimundo Backhouse notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Milan's Gilberto Fernandez. Gilberto Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilberto Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Gana in the 83rd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Gana came free, but Gilberto Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Rufo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Fernandez having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Deportes Santa Cruz had played much better football throughout.
