An unexpectedly hard shot by Lilcho Ilchov in the 6th minute of play forced JEMBer UTara's goalkeeper Cheng Hao Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico Hendrickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cheng Hao Wei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cheng Hao Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lilcho Ilchov in the 16th minute of play. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Cheche in the 19th minute of play. Kemal Kustiana hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Cheche got free with Ray Clemence in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's Paulino Cheche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ray Clemence narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cheng Hao Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lilcho Ilchov in the 36th minute of play. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Hidayat in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, PHOENIX SC's Dadá D Agostino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cheng Hao Wei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. JEMBer UTara's Cheng Hao Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá D Agostino in the 45th minute of play. The JEMBer UTara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PHOENIX SC were winning 0-2.

JEMBer UTara made a substitution. Rafet Nesip replaced Paulino Cheche. The audience was convinced that Rafet Nesip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ray Clemence was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Cheng Hao Wei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lilcho Ilchov in the 54th minute. In the 65th minute of the match JEMBer UTara got a corner. PHOENIX SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cai Jun Wei ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on JEMBer UTara's corner Cai Jun Wei fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ray Clemence quite easily take care of the ball. In the 70th minute Dadá D Agostino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheng Hao Wei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafet Nesip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, JEMBer UTara's Rafet Nesip nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ray Clemence made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ray Clemence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafet Nesip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Abaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the PHOENIX SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
