The audience thought a goal was coming when Gofar Pohan got free with Ray Clemence in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kranji Crunchy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filip Barbosu in the 22nd minute. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX SC from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Kranji Crunchy's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Hendrickx came free, but Aras Sophian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lilcho Ilchov in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aras Sophian saved Kranji Crunchy from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Frederico Hendrickx made the kick off in the second half. Ray Clemence stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gofar Pohan's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Barbosu in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gofar Pohan in the 56th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ray Clemence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gofar Pohan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Aras Sophian was a little too slow when Lilcho Ilchov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-1. Kranji Crunchy's Demas Tarusbawa was substituted for Bule Amin. Frederico Hendrickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Kranji Crunchy's Gofar Pohan got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Frederico Hendrickx got a free kick in the 84th minute. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gofar Pohan in the 91st minute of the match. PHOENIX SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
