The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hieronim Gdowski was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Gilmar Couto took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Couto in the 15th minute of the match. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stasio Borczak in the 18 minute of the game. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilmar Couto went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Hieronim Gdowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 33rd minute of play. Hieronim Gdowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's zone, Milagros Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hieronim Gdowski came out of the goal and Milagros Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Hieronim Gdowski got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gwidon Barys got a throw-in 56 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Borys Rakowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play forced Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's goalkeeper Hieronim Gdowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilmar Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. When Gilmar Couto came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilmar Couto couldn't finish the play. Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W made a substitution. Andres Ireno replaced Gilmar Couto. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hieronim Gdowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Ireno, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Gwidon Barys fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's protests and gave Gwidon Barys a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Gallo took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hieronim Gdowski. Hieronim Gdowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W could leave the field as winners, despite Peru having more of the ball for most of the match.
