In the 12th minute, Gilmar Couto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hieronim Gdowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Hieronim Gdowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hieronim Gdowski. The Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hieronim Gdowski should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Indiano struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Hieronim Gdowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Hieronim Gdowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilmar Couto to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Dé Monico got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Couto came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Ireno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Abram Secada notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W's Hieronim Gdowski. Hieronim Gdowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christer Selle hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Słoneczna2003 Lidzbark W fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
