Eustacio Beliran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Gonzalo Hoya tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Gonzalo Hoya took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Gonzalo Hoya made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 27thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Julio Vera would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Lope came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustacio Beliran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after C.A.JORGOVAN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After 36 minutes, Luis Andino made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. C.A.JORGOVAN's Eustacio Beliran tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Hoya in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Eustacio Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Bermund in the 89th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Grigorie, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
