Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Almkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Saul Roman who took care of the corner kick. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Almkvist in the 52nd minute of play. When Abram Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Abram Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. Abram Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Almkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Christian Almkvist got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Indar Albizua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Colombia were furious when Orlando Tafalla was red carded, 94 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saul Roman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. 5-3.
