Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Leopoldo Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Capixaba couldn't finish the play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. In the 29th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmir Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. Róbson Sergipano's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. 39 minutes into the game, one of Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The wind increased when Rafa Coutinho made the kick off in the second half. Walmir Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute. Walmir Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
