After 20 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the O.T.E players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Thrasivoulos Stamatis. The supporters of Venezuela booed when O.T.E was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Rivera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in O.T.E fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Tomas Illescas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier García read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alekos Roubakis in the 33rd minute of play. Orlando Rivera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 41st play minutes Orlando Rivera shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Orlando Rivera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Alekos Roubakis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Orlando Rivera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thrasivoulos Stamatis kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Javier García showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Rivera went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 71st minute, Orlando Rivera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Javier García to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier García having to make a save. The supporters of Venezuela booed when O.T.E was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lakis Kazantzakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Rivera in the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Rivera in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball.
