Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Károly Vándor in the 6th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Maarek Grattepanche made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, László Honti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Héreg SC's supporters rose to their feet, but László Honti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Gervai in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Gervai. Răzvan Lipoveanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when László Honti sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes of play, Héreg SC's Maarek Grattepanche made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Simon Gervai sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Héreg SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Pölöskei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Richárd Erőss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Gervai scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Simon Gervai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Simon Gervai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Héreg SC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Gervai in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. Héreg SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Răzvan Lipoveanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Moruga in the 77th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Héreg SC's Răzvan Lipoveanu got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Răzvan Lipoveanu having to interfere. In the 91st minute Dávid Szőllőssy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pál Matolcsy kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Răzvan Lipoveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Héreg SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
