Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krzysztof Gamza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ludomir Damaski hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Wisla Plock defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krzysztof Gamza. The Wisla Plock fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krzysztof Gamza should have stopped the shot. Krzysztof Gamza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Zachary Wojno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Krzysztof Gamza. Wisla Plock's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Krzysztof Gamza. Wisla Plock's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Borys Biraga made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Wisla Plock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwidon Zawaski to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Biraga in the 70th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wisla Plock's goalkeeper Krzysztof Gamza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Zawaski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Krzysztof Gamza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wisla Plock's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wisla Plock's Krzysztof Gamza did a great save. Ecuador played a much better game than Wisla Plock and deserved their victory. The Wisla Plock players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
