Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wisla Plock's Krzysztof Gamza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwidon Zawaski in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Wisla Plock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Wojno to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gwidon Zawaski. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Barnaba Cetnar made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borys Biraga in the 41st minute of play. Jacek Setara made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Barnaba Cetnar however managed to control. In the 47th match minute, Wisla Plock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Hodyl to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krzysztof Gamza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Wisla Plock got a freekick which was hit by Barnaba Cetnar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Biraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Hodyl kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krzysztof Gamza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Krzysztof Gamza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Patricio Costa rounded Wisla Plock's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Venegas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty!
