Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through Inter de São Paulo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kléber Salles. Kléber Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kléber Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. Inter de São Paulo's Kléber Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kléber Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléber Salles came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 28th match minute, Inter de São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Doutté to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Loureiro in the 35th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Laércio Loureiro sent off a good shot on target. After 43 minutes, Marquinhos Botelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de São Paulo and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Donatello made a kick off. With his leg Kléber Salles managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 54th minute of play forced Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kléber Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléber Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Primitivo Andino made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. Kléber Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's goalkeeper Kléber Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Salles having to interfere. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kléber Salles could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio Loureiro in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inter de São Paulo made a substitution. Gerson Coelho replaced Laércio Loureiro. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes, Inter de São Paulo's Marquinhos Botelho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter de São Paulo reached it. Gerson Coelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Coelho in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Gerson Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Inter de São Paulo getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Predrag Djordjević hit a great ball. In the 94th match minute, Inter de São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Penha to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléber Salles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Inter de São Paulo and deserved their victory. The Inter de São Paulo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
