Waldemar Karaszkiewicz made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play forced AS Monaco FC's goalkeeper Jan Puchlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Pruss kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Jan Puchlik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Puchlik. Jan Puchlik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 12th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. If Felix Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Andrzej Andrychowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AS Monaco FC's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Puchlik. AS Monaco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With 25 minutes on the clock, Norbert Pruss commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 25 minutes into the game, one of AS Monaco FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AS Monaco FC's Jan Puchlik. 0-4. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Puchlik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Andrzej Andrychowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Puchlik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Puchlik. AS Monaco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After having played for 46 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Jan Puchlik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 53rd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes AS Monaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrzej Andrychowski. Jan Puchlik was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Luis Andino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Andino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Jan Puchlik made a huge save. Leonard Pawlak hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho scored 0-9 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Puchlik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 69 played minutes AS Monaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Boruc Wrzosek. After a rather tough play, AS Monaco FC's Kajetan Kostrzewa got a free kick in the 70th minute. Jan Puchlik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 72 minute of play. Jan Puchlik was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-11. Luis Andino scored 0-12 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Puchlik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AS Monaco FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Puchlik came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan Puchlik. The goal made the score 0-13. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Agustín Saelices took a quick shot and it went in 0-14 without a chance for Jan Puchlik to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Jan Puchlik successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Artur Grajewski's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Grajewski helped the player get up and apologised. The AS Monaco FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
