In the 27th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukács Bánhegyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's Monty Rogers managed to work through Hungarian Olympic's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Monty Rogers dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Hungarian Olympic's Ernesto Belarmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miladin Kirichev in the 58th minute of play. Edward Mcdonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukács Bánhegyi having to interfere. After 77 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Brown. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 79th minute, Endre Révész got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hungarian Olympic's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Lukács Bánhegyi made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Sam Campbell sent off a good shot on target. USA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Hungarian Olympic to leave the ground with a draw.
