Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apat Reina having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Mendonça came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apat Reina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Retumbante FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apat Reina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Retumbante FC's Apat Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apat Reina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Apat Reina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Retumbante FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 36th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apat Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Apat Reina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Retumbante FC made a substitution. Jarbas Dantas replaced Basílio Cearense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Paulo Mendonça made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Retumbante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Apat Reina was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Retumbante FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Mota hit a great ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Apat Reina in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apat Reina having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Apat Reina to make any attempt to save it. Felix Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Apat Reina was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 83rd minute, Kauã Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kauã Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Retumbante FC and deserved their victory. The Retumbante FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
