Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Salvador Gisbert made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle. After 13 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dani Cochrane was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dani Cochrane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dani Cochrane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. After a defensive mix-up in Australian Youth Academy's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dani Cochrane came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brayden Carberry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Dani Cochrane managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dani Cochrane came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Dani Cochrane was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Tomas Illescas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Dani Cochrane 60 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Patricio Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dani Cochrane. That made the score 0-7 after 65 minutes of play. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. Australian Youth Academy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Dani Cochrane, making the score, 0-8. In a very dangerous position, a player in Australian Youth Academy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! 0-10 came in the 82nd minute when Tomas Illescas all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Dani Cochrane. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 85th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dani Cochrane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Correa in the 91st minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Dani Cochrane managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
