Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. Kevin Arnolds who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kevin Arnolds scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Alvarez in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute of the match, Kevin Arnolds tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kevin Arnolds's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Donato Alvarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Clementi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 2-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Arnolds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Donato Alvarez managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Benito Sanz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bram Sandstra. In the 39th minute, Bierunese's Christiaan Schipper dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the game, Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Arnolds made a kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Arnolds in the 51st minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Clementi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Arnolds in the 58th minute of play. After 59th play minutes Kevin Arnolds shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. When Kevin Arnolds came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Bierunese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Arnolds couldn't finish the play. If Christiaan Schipper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Kevin Arnolds sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Bierunese fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Bierunese's Baldomiro Clementi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Baldomiro Clementi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Arnolds in the 71st minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Arnolds, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Kevin Arnolds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Kevin Arnolds cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the match, Kevin Arnolds notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 81 played minutes Bierunese got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Lever. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Werner Kamps breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevin Arnolds in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 85th minute Kevin Arnolds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Zoetebier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Arnolds in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-1. Bierunese walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
