Guilherme Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Iranzo in the 8th minute of play. Guilherme Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Iranzo in the 13th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 32 minutes, Sanea Weerarak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC PROSPE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sanea Weerarak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Iranzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Iranzo in the 43rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Iranzo went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Guilherme Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Guilherme Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Iranzo in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of FC PROSPE booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guilherme Alagoano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61st minute Sanea Weerarak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ivan Lehečka who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Julio Pabla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 64 minutes into the game, Sanea Weerarak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute Xalbador Navas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC PROSPE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Xalbador Navas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, FC PROSPE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Poplăcan to maneuver through the defense.
