The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zisis Vourlis was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wit Zapolski in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 27th play minutes Wit Zapolski shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. 30 minutes into the match, Wit Zapolski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wit Zapolski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Jonathan Venegas got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Salvador Gisbert. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Wit Zapolski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The supporters of Venezuela booed when Πυργετός Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthimos Kousouridis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Zisis Vourlis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Πυργετός Fc booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wit Zapolski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zisis Vourlis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Πυργετός Fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
