Talleres de Escalada's Attilio Casciano got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miran Moco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Miran Moco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thibault Moon was slow to take the kick. During this time Talleres de Escalada's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Miran Moco drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Colombia's goalkeeper. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Nordin, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 17th minute of play forced Talleres de Escalada's goalkeeper Martin Leheren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Talleres de Escalada's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Garrido came free, but Martin Leheren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Leheren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talleres de Escalada's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Talleres de Escalada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Joshua Garrido heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 44th minute of play forced Talleres de Escalada's goalkeeper Martin Leheren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Leheren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abram Sarmiento went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Leheren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miran Moco in the 55th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Talleres de Escalada's Attilio Casciano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Casciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verner Nordin in the 69th minute of the match. Miran Moco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miran Moco in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Verner Nordin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Verner Nordin made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Thibault Moon. In the 92nd minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Talleres de Escalada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
