Attilio Casciano started the match with the kick off. Martin Leheren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Leheren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Martin Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Martin Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Talleres de Escalada booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Attilio Casciano came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Noboa could save by the left post. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Martin Leheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 32nd minute of play forced Talleres de Escalada's goalkeeper Martin Leheren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th match minute, Talleres de Escalada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sait Baray to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Leheren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sait Baray made in the 56th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Verner Nordin immediately put the ball in play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miran Moco in the 57th minute of the match. If Attilio Casciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Joaquin Prats cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Martin Leheren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Tingelholm in the 66th minute of play. Sait Baray kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Talleres de Escalada getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sait Baray hit a great ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Leheren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres de Escalada's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Leheren came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Leheren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luz Tejedor went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Martin Leheren. Martin Leheren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Martin Leheren made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miran Moco in the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miran Moco in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres de Escalada's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Leheren came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Talleres de Escalada's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Rafael Gallo scored to the left of an out of position Martin Leheren, making the score, 0-7. After 96 minutes, Thibault Moon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talleres de Escalada and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thibault Moon kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
